Malang, August 31, 2026 – SD Islam Sabilillah Malang 1 has once again reaffirmed its commitment to shaping a generation with strong character, a sense of responsibility, and a concern for the environment through one of the dimensions of its graduate profile: “Statesman Leaders.” The implementation of this program is realized through the establishment of SDIS 1’s Environmental Ambassadors, Agent GREAT (Green Rangers for Environmental Action Team).

The Agent GREAT program was introduced on Monday, August 31, 2026, as part of a “Character Briefing” session. This event served as an opportunity to familiarize all students with their roles and responsibilities as part of the movement to maintain the cleanliness and sustainability of the school environment.

Agent GREAT is a movement that involves all students at Sabilillah Islamic Elementary School 1 in Malang, from first through sixth grade. Through this program, each student is not merely a recipient of rules regarding cleanliness but is also given the opportunity to be part of the solution and to serve as a driving force for their peers within the school community.

In practice, Agent GREAT’s main task is to remind and encourage peers to work together to maintain the cleanliness of their classrooms and the school environment. Students are expected to foster a culture of mutual reminders in a positive, polite, and responsible manner.

GREAT Agents carry out their duties on a rotating basis according to a schedule. Each day, 2–3 students are scheduled to carry out missions as GREAT Agents. These agents will carry out various daily missions related to cleanliness and caring for the school environment. Through this system, all students gain firsthand experience in learning to lead, take initiative, work together, and take responsibility for their surroundings.

More than just a cleanliness program, Agent GREAT is designed as part of the character education process at Sabilillah School. Simple habits such as disposing of trash properly, keeping the classroom clean, gently reminding classmates, and helping to care for the environment provide students with real-life experiences that foster leadership qualities.

The Statesman Leader Program itself is one component of the graduate profile at Sabilillah Islamic Elementary School 1 in Malang. Through this program, the school strives to shape students— —so that they not only possess academic competence but also grow into individuals with a spirit of leadership, social awareness, responsibility, integrity, and noble character.

This spirit aligns with Sabilillah School’s vision as the “School of Leaders for World Civilization,” which emphasizes that leadership can be cultivated from an early age through experiences and habits in daily life. Becoming a leader doesn’t always have to start with big things. Leadership can manifest through the courage to take on a role, concern for the environment, the ability to inspire others to do good, and a willingness to take responsibility for assigned tasks.

Through Agent GREAT, students at Sabilillah Islamic Elementary School 1 in Malang are encouraged to become Green Rangers who not only care about cleanliness but are also able to serve as role models and catalysts for their peers. It is hoped that a clean and comfortable school environment will foster a generation characterized by compassion, responsibility, and strong leadership qualities.
